(some) Fantastic bands!

Stick to Your Guns- Such a dynamic group. Huge changes between albums, but they ALWAYS BRING IT!!! Diamonds due out one the 27th of March

Attack Attack!- So hated on for no reason. Nobody can hate AA!, simply because they are not a single band, they have had a vocalist lineup change in every album, including adding a new clean vocalist after their release of "This Means War" in January 2012. Plus, Shomo is good at everything...

Defiler- So fucking brutal (pardon my language). They could easily bring the apocalypse early just by having enough amps. They chug non stop, they breakdown constantly, and clean vocals..... fuck that they don't need them! Defiler is the modern embodiment of that fine line between so heavy and too heavy. BEAST

The Word Alive- Perfect. Absolutely amazing live performance, solid tracks on their first full-length, Deceiver, and parts that pander to those who have a sweet tooth for electronic music.

Nuclear weapon facts

It's a disgusting world we live in, and weapons like these could bring it to a horrifying end in a matter of minutes. The facts depicted in the photo below shocked the hell out of me, and I'm sure they'll do the same to you.

Getting there

I've noticed lately that pot is becoming much more mainstream. People aren't afraid to make friendly jokes about it on tv and movies, celebrities have started acknowledging their use of the herb to the media in a positive manner, and there's so many shows and movies that are starting to use marijuana as a central part of the storyline. If you ask me, it seems that we're getting closer and closer to getting weed legal. If media continues to portray it positively, then the viewers will start to realize what a mistake they have made by listening to the stupid propaganda that the government is behind (mainly the American gov't). AWWW YEEEEAH!!! FIGHT ON!

Why we smoke weed

People drink because they depressed, excited, celebrating, or just because they finished a shift. Why do people smoke marijuana? This is why I do:

I have always been lost in things, picking up new hobbies that always fail, meeting new people but discovering too many differences rather than commonalities. It's a long list. But when I smoke I'm different (not split personality). I personally thing that when I am high, My traits that I know I don't want are suppressed and my best qualities flourish. I feel that when I smoke I'm free to be with my thoughts and memories, allowing me to discover how to excel, how to simple be better than my current self. In short, I smoke until I'm so high that I forget who I am. At this point, I am able to rediscover myself in a more polished form.

Why do you get high? Comment below!

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES 6 MINUTE TRAILER

Click here to watch the 6 minute prologue trailer to the upcoming "The Dark Knight Rises" from Christopher Nolan. Starring Tom Brady, Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway and Gary Oldman

The best highvironments

Class: It sounds stupid, but I absolutely love it. I get to be in a room full of people that are doing the same thing is me. With one exception of course... I'm stoned every class :) I find it easier to learn from a talking professor when I'm at that nice balanced high. I can completely focus on whatever I feel like doing on my laptop (last class was an essay for a different class) but still absorb all the knowledge that I would have if completely focussed on him when sober.

Solitude of my bedroom: It's so prime. I get to be alone in peace with my thoughts and whatever i feel like doing (lately lots of Dexter and Workaholics). I just chill.

On a drive: Summer time, always great for cruising the backroads outside of your small town with your best buds. It's great! Windows down, tunes cranked, and a cigarette in everyone's hand. Good times

The Stoner City

Can you imagine if we had our own city? The level of happiness among the citizens would be through the roof! I've never though to all aspect however, usually because I'm an optimistic person when I blaze, I did think of general outlines on how this great city would run.

Growing for distribution would require a licence, and the maximum number of plants that a non-licenced grower could have is extremely low (around 1 or 2). This would eliminate insanely high price for our goods! And the licence would require training, courses and such, essentially training them to be a farmer.

Speed limits would be low. Cruising speed. Nothing beats going for a medium paced drive to enjoy the daylight and weather.

The city would have to be somewhere warm. Not hot, but warm. Nothing beats shorts and a t-shirt every day. Screw jackets.

Would run in a communist style manner, where most of our jobs are outsourced (but still within the nation), and all citizens make similar pay, except for some cases. This eliminates greed.

These are just a few very general ideas I thought about, but how sweet would that be!? If you lived in this city, what types of laws/guidelines/ideas would you have in mind for running it? Comment below!

Prohibullshit

Prohibition of marijuana is foolish. I know that this is a topic that people constantly babble on about every day, but every outgoing smoker is proud to stand up for his love of the ganja. Right now I am going to compare two very similar prohibition cases from history and stories of human behaviour that may enlighten those who are hesitant to support the legalization or decriminalization of the herb when put beside alcohol.

First off, marijuana is not a 'drug' in the eyes of many people, it is an herb. It can grow naturally and have the same basic outcome as when it is altered, a high. Alcohol must be manufactured and altered in many cases to get the desired outcome (which is often being belligerently drunk, vomiting, making a complete fool of yourself and passing out only to wake up feeling like and old catchers mitt the next morning).

Marijuana is not what they show it as in the media. A marijuana high simply mellows you out. There are cases where some people get sick from it, but in my experience that is only those who are already beyond drunk. I like to chill out when I smoke. I'll lay back, do some homework and watch  TV. Booze takes you on another whirlwind of an adventure involving stupidity and occasional destruction. That doesn't happen with bud.

Weed is frowned upon by so many people that drink as if it were a game, or a status of pride. How many times have you heard people brag of their hangover or how many drinks they had last night or how attractive they thought that horse was when they took it home. With weed, that doesn't happen. We usually say something along these lines: "Dude, last night was a blast", when in reality if we were to watch ourselves we would have been sitting on the couch for hours just hanging out and doing a whole lot of nothing.

Usually blazing is a social thing. Few true "stoners" will smoke right in front of you and not happily offer you some, we just like everyone to be happy and content. We're thoughtful people who enjoy making friends and spending time with these people.

Stoner is not a universal term. I have recently found that there are two very definitions to the word. When a person who is actively against the use of marijuana call someone a stoner, they say it with hate and disgust, referring to characters that they see as "stoners". When a user says it, they mean it in a friendly way, as if it were a type of brotherhood that deepens bonds of friendship and even with mere acquaintances. So please, those of you who don't toke, don't joke.

Don't get me wrong, there are the odd occasions when you have to drink your face off, but you should always do it responsibly, which many people don't. That is all.

Peace
